Ingredients:
1 C Sugar
1 1/2 C Milk (1C Carnation Milk & 1/2 C Milk)
3 T Flour
4 T Cocoa
pinch of salt
3 Eggs (separated)
1/4 Stick Butter (melted)
1 T Vanilla
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, cocoa & salt. Add a little milk to make a paste. Add egg yolks, beat well then add rest of milk, vanilla & butter. Place on low heat stirring constantly until it thickens - pour into a fresh baked pie shell & top with meringue. Brown in 350° oven
Meringue:
Combine egg whites & 1/4 tsp cream of tartar. Whip until stiff. Slowly add 8 T sugar (1 @ a time) Mix well & place on top of pie (make sure it reaches all edges inside crust) Place in a 350° oven & brown ~ 10-15 mins
